UFC110: Pointless Banter and awesome .gifs

UFC 110 is upon us. So why is Anderson Silva the banner pic, considering he is fighting at UFC 112? Well, look. How awesome is that? Moving along. I’ve been trying to get an MMA expert on to help me preview the UFC cards for each pay per view. The closest we got was Vince Mancini from FilmDrunk for our UFC 104 Preview to school Logic and Gimp on their picks. Yep, you guessed it. That’s a movie blog.

“But wait, Logic! You are very good friends (in real life) with an MMA blogger!” Why that’s very right, Anonymous Segue-Man! The problem is, Shawn from Fightlinker is a giant douchenozzle. It’s also too bad that I got all of his opinions through Facebook Chat today. I was asking about the UFC we are going to and he thought I wanted his opinion. So this is how people who are actually funny talk to each other when no one is watching!

Logic: Any news on UFC?
Shawn: Well, Belfort out of the Silva fight is the big news.
Shawn: Never mind. You saw that.
Shawn: Damian Maia is stepping in.
Shawn: He’s gonna get stomped. Badly.
gimp: What are you talking about? Maia’s stand-up looked awesome in his last fight against Dan Miller. And by awesome I mean I’ve seen an epileptic having a seizure flail their arms around more efficiently.
Logic: Maia can’t step to Silva. Silva is in the matrix and Maia is just all Jiu Jitsu, ammIrite?
Shawn: That’s pretty much the break down. If Maia taps Silva, I will literally shit myself. There’s no way he is going to the ground. If he goes for a throw or a takedown he’s going to get his head kicked in before he even gets close. Silva is going to finish it in epic fashion. Highlight reel style.
Logic: Like Nate did :(
gimp: So much for Nate being the big successor to Silva’s Middleweight crown, mega frownies :-(((((
Shawn: Fucking Nate. I think he’s still one or two wins away from a title shot. Say he beats Belfort and Bisping in a row. Title shot.
Logic: Yeah, if you beat those two and you don’t get a shot…that’s effed up.
Logic: I’m excited for Ryan “The Master” Bader.
Logic: I gave him that nickname.
Shawn: I like that
Shawn: My likey
Logic: It’s really “Darth”
Shawn: Master is wayyy better. I hope Jardine beats dat ass though.
Logic: Yeah?
Shawn: The dean of mean is due for a big win.
gimp: And by big win you mean getting cut by UFC. He’s so on his way to Strikeforce if he loses this fight.
Logic: The green machine dean of mean keith jardine!
Shawn: Best guy.
Logic: He’s a homophonic asshole.
gimp: If this is Jardine’s last fight in the UFC I so hope he does the Techno Viking. Please do the Techno Viking.
Shawn: I think the Nogueira/Meximelt match is a toss up. I have no idea what will happen. Prob a vintage Nog from behind victory
Logic: Yeah me neither. I wouldn’t doubt that. Cain looks like he comes out flying and then gets gassed.
gimp: My money’s on Cain. Which isn’t saying much, since my bet picks seem to be the kiss of death. Sorry Cain.
Shawn: I want: a Wandy KO, a Cro Cop KO, and victories from Bonnar and Jardine.
Logic: I love Wandy. The Axe Murderer. He’s like a big dumb animal. He wants to fight people 30 lbs heavier than him because they made fun of him. Once.
gimp: I will be thoroughly surprised if this goes the distant…And probably very drunk.
Shawn: Yup. I’m still one of the few people that likes Bisping but if I said I didn’t want to see Wanderlei punt his head across the cage that would be a lie. Only because it’s Wandy.
Logic: Bisping isn’t bad. I just like the people he fights, a lot more.
Shawn: Yeah, like Henderson. I feel like he might actually murder Jake Shields on national network television.
Logic: Exactly. Dan Henderson might have been wearing a Captain America suit in that Bisping fight.
