The Minnesota Twins are a pathetic franchise. They struggle to hold on to any sort of talent because the idiots in charge who make money off of the team are too cheap to spend money to get players that people want to see which in turn will get fans in the seats. I don’t care if that sentence was close to 100 words long and I butchered the English language. It needed to be said. They finally agreed (“to the parameters”) to a long term deal to “former future Yankee” Joe Mauer, which was the right thing to do. If they couldn’t hold on to the best catcher in the league, they should have just packed it in and moved to New Orleans. They need a baseball team now that it’s dry in some areas. Plus, the fine people of Minnesota would begin to hate them and the good city of New York.
Anyway, like I said, the Twins must be struggling to put the hineys in the reclineys because they just went out and signed some 7 foot 1 pitcher from the Netherlands named Loek van Mil. I guess they went with the “Portland Strategy” of picking talent and just taking the biggest guy they see as quickly as possible. The bad news? They will never be able to sign the following players:
- Hideki Matsui
- Ichiro
- Dice-K
- Kaz Matsui
- Hideki Irabu
- Chan Ho Park
- Chien Ming Wang
- Kei Igawa
- Kosuke Fukudome
- Hideo Nomo
- Shin Shoo Choo
- So Taguchi
- Jackie Chan
It’s funny because they are Asian and never have seen anyone that big, you see.

They “just” signed him? He’s been with the Twins for 5 years… Get your facts right.
Yeah you’re right, “Frank”. I’m sorry. I misread Deadspin’s article. I guess he’s not very good though, because it’s hard to go unnoticed on the immortal Twins when you are 7 feet tall for 5 years. I hope you die in front of your family.
