I only know the date because I looked it up, but what it signifies is more important. That night, Michael Jordan hit his last shot as a Chicago Bull, and the NBA would never be the same.
Look where we are now. Ask yourself how you can be an NBA fan at this point. Lebron, who had been generally a good guy until the last few weeks, went heel. Kobe’s always going to be Kobe. Kevin Durant is a decent guy, but plays for the team that ripped out Seattle’s heart. The entire GM, ownership and coaching structure has been proven irrelevant in personnel decisions. This has ceased to be something the fans remotely matter in, they just happen to pay the bills.

Facebook is a great thing, let me make that clear. I use it for more than just looking at pictures of attractive girls who went on spring break and spent the whole time in a bikini. It helps me keep in touch with many friends, and keeps me updated on what’s going on in their lives. But along with all of that come the people who make Facebook nearly intolerable. People who think Facebook is their personal ground for letting the planet know every little detail in their life. These people need to be banned from Facebook for the greater good. Up first, we take a look at “OMG I HAVE THE BEST BOYFRIEND EVER” Girl.

I’ve had alot of time to think about what happened last night, and being the resident Tigers fan at this site, they figured I should tackle this issue.

First off, let’s just say what the picture shows: Jim Joyce flat blew it. There’s no way to sugar coat it, or put some silver lining on it. Secondly, I’ll be honest, I didn’t see one second of this game, I was driving back from out of town, and had the hockey game on the radio, with no clue that this feat was going on. It’s a good thing I didn’t see this happen live, because I probably would not have a TV at the moment if I had. Hell, even the Indians, couldn’t believe the call. The baserunner puts his hands on his head like he just had a prank pulled on him.
Here’s a video of the entire 9th inning. Lost in all of this is one of the great catches I have ever seen from Austin Jackson to keep the perfect game alive. Watch the Indians bench after the call, even they can’t believe it. (more…)

Yesterday while watching the Detroit Tigers take on the Boston Red Sox, a thought crossed my mind when Brandon Inge stepped to the dish for the Tigers. Are there other players in other cities that are as bad as he is, yet loved endlessly by the hometown fan base?

- This Was Probably Against My Fantasy Team
Someone always gets fucked. And I think it is the Yankees. If you didn’t hear, the Yankees, Diamondbacks and Tigers completed a 3-way (7 player) trade. The logistics of the trade went:
New York Yankees: Get CF Curtis Granderson from Detroit
Arizona Diamondbacks: Get SP Ian Kennedy from New York and SP Edwin Jackson from Detroit
Detroit Tigers: Get SP Max Scherzer and LHP pitching prospect (and ESPN analyst and former Bronco’s offensive lineman, Mark Schlereth’s son) Daniel Schlereth from Arizona and RP Phil Coke and CF Austin Jackson from New York
I think the Yankees got the shit end of the stick. Definitely in sheer numbers and potential of the future. Now, this article will be exclusively from the Yankees point of view, so if you don’t want to hear it… Click one of our sponsors or PLAY SOME PARTY POKER! I hear it’s super fun.
