Last Call is kind of like Blogkakke, only on PCP, LSD and ludes. Fucking ludes man. Instead of just being a random link dump, it’s a place to congregate with fellow like minded sports fans, alcoholics and amateur comedians. So come on in, kick your shoes off and crack a beer; then regale us with a witty joke, bitch about that local sports team or ask gimp about that fetish he has, you know the one. You can thank @DangerGuerrero for that one. Yes, I know Vince ran it at Film Drunk, but DG sent that to me last Tuesday.
An incomplete and inadequate preview of what’s going on tonight in the world of sports and entertainment. All times listed are EST.
The Good Guys: (Fox-9PM) This show as created by Matt Nix who also created a show you may have heard of called Burn Notice. The star of the show is clearly Bradley Whitford’s mustache and that’s okay. In tonights episode, Jack and Dan are assigned to investigate a broken vending machine at a high class hotel. That of course leads to a high class prostitution ring, among other things.
Lie To Me: (Fox-8PM) Can you believe it, two watchable shows on Fox tonight? Essentiall the show is a procedural in the vein of House, but from a psychological standpoint. Tim Roth is great in the show, and as there’s nothing else on you definitely can’t do worse. In tonights episode Dr. Cal Lightman, Roth, and his associate Foster are forced to go over the events that brought them together, not like that, after the death of one of Cal’s Pentagon associates.
Dirty Jobs: (Discovery-9PM) In celebration of Discovery’s 25th Anniversary, Mike Rowe serves up an alternative to worn out cliches with six hard-earned lessons gleaned from 250 Dirty Jobs. That’s from the press release, and from that I gather blah blah six lessons something something. It’s still a good show though.
The Hard Times of RJ Berger: (MTV-10PM) I’m not going to lie, but the premise of the show seems rather ridiculous and unwatchable. It’s the story of a High School student un-remarkable kid who’s only saving grace is that he’s well hung. In the first episode, which was actually quite funny, the truth about his situation came out. It contained some non-sequitur gems like, “Your dad called. He want’s his seed back.” Anyways, tonights episode is about, well I’d tell you but MTV’s site is near unreadable.
